Name: Shoto Todoroki. You can spell it Shouto at me if you wish, I won't call the police I promise. Canon: My Hero Academia Tell us a tiny bit about them!: TL;DR HotColdgoodboyisagoodboy. -------- Shoto's a very nice guy, at least now. He didn't always used to be before he got into UA and before he met the people who reminded him what he wanted from his life, and from his life of service in the form of heroism. However... He's not all that smart socially. Battle wise? Yeah he's brilliant, he can work with someone at the tip of a hat. With his more bonded Canon CR they don't even need that anymore. Their synergy is amazing. He is capable of seeing past people's intent to a degree. Like a point where one character in the series was yelling at another character, and Shoto found that in the positive that at least now they were talking and working through what happened. He's not always the brightest, but he tries. It helps with Bakugo. IYKYK. Hit him with that pop culture though? He'll give you a head tilt and likely ask you the most idiotic questions about it.
Shoto's quirk, or "Superpower", is officially named Half-Cold Half-Hot. Queue Katy Perry getting stuck in your head. You're welcome. At any rate... The quirk works by using the temperature of his body to manifest cold or heat corresponding to the white, or red sides of his body. I'll let you guess and stay up at night wondering which is which on your own. There are caveats and SSJ, 12 episode scream fest, shounen manga things that I could go into about inner workings but I want to keep it simple. There is a longer, more detailed explanation and 'can he do x y and z' on the powers page I have for him. There are spoilers on that page for MHA, please be aware.
Either way, he is a person who sometimes has few words, and sometimes a lot depending on the topic or what he needs to say. He will tell you how incredible his friends are even if Bakugo will insist they're not friends, and will absolutely put Izuku on a pedestal given the chance. You have been warned.
This character does have trauma in his past related to some CW things in his childhood regarding more than one authority figure. I'm trying to keep the backstory spoilers out of main. Please tell me if you're not okay with that. My permissions page isn't 100% done, but if you need to leave me a 'pls don't say that stuff' it's there for you and screened. It's not something he has to "say" and they're things I can try to avoid if you need, or will contact you if I think the conversation will carry that way unavoidably.
What fruit is in their orchard?: Peach! He can and will leave it on your character's doorstep even if he doesn't know them. He really is just that nice.
Which animal are they going to transform into?: Not too entirely sure! Nothing on the roster just yet.
Game goals: Honestly I have so much in mind, but as I said in my app? Bet that's going to go sideways in the best ways. He will be working with Midoriya and Bakugo of course, that trio doesn't die. He's very open to lasting and close friendships from other characters, I'm fine personally with negative CR. If anyone brings a villain from the series (or has a villain in general) I and Todoroki are both fine with that.
Hot on a cold day? Ask your neighbour who just so happens to make ice manifest out of his body temperature for a nice chill out. Cold? No problem. He is a human air conditioner. Paired with the water from Peach made me way too eager lol. Really, I'm just stoked to be here so anything that happens? That's a bonus for me.
Anything else?: Sometimes, sadly, my RL can take me from posting for a few days (as in currently) or at least slow me down significantly. Feel free to handwave anything with me you need, including other things like 'first meetings' if you wanna jump past the 'hi my name is' stages. I'm a pretty shy person sometimes with people I don't know, so please don't take my quietness as disinterest.
As from up above there, I know some people use "Shouto" and I am okay with that. Both are correct. Please do as you need and use Shouto if you'd like while you're typing to me, or the character. I prefer prose over bracket, but I won't cause a scene at the local Denny's if you need me to bracket.
