fable update

Hello everyone, I'm here to let you know an important announcement about Fable.

My name is Fawn - the head mod, the designer of the game and writer of all the TDMs & events. This game has been my passion project - I've poured so much love into it alongside my wonderful and dependable mod team. Unfortunately, life has been very unkind to me this year, reaching an almost unbearable point when I found myself on the Covid ward in hospital, fighting Covid with pneumonia in my lungs. I was admitted into hospital at the start of the month and ever since I have been discharged, I have been struggling immensely with my health, both physically and mentally. My lungs and heart are damaged, and my ability to expend excess energy into modwork is just too much for me to handle at present.

With concerns for my health, I have sadly decided to end Fable as a game, which was a heartbreaking decision to reach. I was so excited about the upcoming events and gradual plot reveal but sadly, life sometimes throws us obstacles that are just far too difficult to pass. While I did consider the idea of putting Fable on pause, I have no idea when I'll feel energised and capable enough of running a game again.

I just want to say a huge, huge thank you to everyone who had fun on the TDMs and applied to the game - there have been so many laughs and wonderful memories shared during the past year. I'm just so sorry that things have ended a lot earlier than I anticipated. The game will not be closed without a proper send-off, though: The June event will be the game's last event and operate on a fourth wall basis in case any returning players want to hop back in for one last hoorah!

The final event will be posted tomorrow, the 25th of June, in the fablecottage community.
